What's new

Changes to Talentlens AI that affect how you use it, newest first.

October 2026

Searching the CV Bank

  • Name search understands whole names. Type more than one word and every word must match, in any order. Typing more now narrows the list. Punctuation is ignored, so initials such as "J. A." work.
  • Email search finds every address. Addresses containing numbers, hyphens or plus signs are now found by the full address or any part of it.

See Searching the CV Bank.

Candidate profiles

  • Work experience shows months. Dates read "Mar 2022 – Feb 2025" where the CV gives the month.
  • Education shows the full period, such as "2019 – 2023" or "2019 – Present". A degree with a single year shows that year.
  • Education end year is kept. The end year, or "Currently studying", now stays when you save a profile.
  • A language with no stated level shows no level, instead of a default one.

See Candidate profiles.

Forwardable CVs

  • Languages are chosen from a list. Start typing to find a language, or add one that is not listed.
  • Proficiency has fixed levels: Native, Fluent, Advanced, Intermediate and Basic.
  • Dates are written out in the PDF, for example "Jan 2025 – Present".

See Creating a forwardable CV.

Job descriptions

  • Location / Work Arrangement is tidied as you type, like the other fields.

Newly uploaded CVs

  • A single year on a degree is read as the year it was completed, and appears under End Year.
  • Language levels are read into the same five levels used in the forwardable CV.

These apply to CVs uploaded from now on.
